KARACHI: Premium Meet and Greet/Concierge Services have been introduced at Islamabad International Airport (IIAP), which is another step taken towards improving the passenger experience. The introduction of Premium Meet and Greet services marks an important milestone in improving passenger facilitation services at one of Pakistan’s key international airports.
A High-Profile Meet and Greet Services Launch Ceremony
Lt Gen (Rtd) Muhammad Ali was present as Chief Guest for the ceremony in his capacity as Secretary Defence, which gave substantial institutional backing to the occasion. Other prominent personalities who graced the ceremony include Major Gen Qaisar Suleman, Additional Secretary-IV (Defence Division), AVM Zeeshan Saeed, Director General, Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), AVM Amir Hayat, CEO Pakistan International Airlines, Col Irfan Hassan, Chief Coordination Aviation, Ministry of Defence, Tashfin Ashraf, Director APS, Aftab Gilani, COO/AM IIAP, and others from PAA.
Speaking at the occasion, the Secretary Defense lauded the joint initiative taken by the airport authorities and the license holder in bringing about this development. The Secretary highlighted how the provision of efficient and passenger-friendly facilitation is important at the airport, making the launch of the service an integral step towards enhancing the journey experience for all passengers using IIAP.
In remarks made by DG PAA AVM Zeeshan Saeed, it was emphasized how the Authority has remained dedicated to offering state-of-the-art, efficient, and client-oriented services consistent with international airports' practices. With the launch of the IIAP Premium Meet & Greet Service, the initiative appears aimed at bringing passenger services closer in line with global best practices at leading international airports.

Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar (Rtd.) and Air Marshal Arshad Mahmood Malik (Rtd.) also spoke at the event, emphasizing the key attributes of the new facility. Both leaders commended the team behind the project and the airport authorities for executing such an innovative move, demonstrating how different departments have collaborated together to develop this particular facility.
Premium Meet & Greet/Concierge Services offer an efficient travel experience tailored specifically for premium customers looking for extra-comfortable and convenient services when traveling to or from Pakistan via airports within the country.
In particular, premium passengers are offered dedicated lanes and lounges at International Departures and International Arrivals terminals, allowing them easy passage across all airport processes without facing long queues or other inconveniences.
As per reports published earlier in April, Islamabad International Airport (IIAP) launched its 'Premium Meet & Greet' facility for passengers using the airport facility, providing a more refined experience for travelers making use of the airport infrastructure. The move is especially important for travelers who would like to enjoy premium experiences while transiting through an international airport. The launch comes after the creation of a dedicated premium corridor and lounge for such travelers. A total of 500,000+ investors have used PSX services by July 2026.
