KARACHI: Supernet Technologies Limited has secured Rs897.89 million against its right shares offer, according to a notice the company submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday, taking up 98.16 percent of the total issue size.

The company set the right issue at Rs914.77 million. Subscribers committed Rs897.89 million of that amount, based on data the Banker to the Issue and the Central Depository Company of Pakistan provided to Supernet. Rs16.69 million worth of shares went unclaimed 1.84 percent of the total offer.

There's a wrinkle in the filing itself. One paragraph puts the amount received at Rs897,983,100. The table two lines below it says Rs897,893,100. Rs90,000 apart, same document. Do the math against the stated 98.16 percent subscription rate, and the table checks out the narrative figure doesn't. Supernet hasn't addressed the gap.

The board now holds discretion over the leftover shares. Directors can offer and allot the unsubscribed portion to persons of their choosing before calling on the underwriter to absorb whatever remains unallotted. That clause gives Supernet a buffer against activating underwriting commitments for a shortfall as small as 1.84 percent, a gap the board could plausibly close on its own.

Supernet’s Post-Merger Chapter

Behind the numbers sits a company still settling into a new corporate shape. A footnote on the letterhead notes that Supernet Limited merged with and into Supernet Technologies Limited, under an order the Sindh High Court passed on February 24, 2026. The two entities now operate as one, and the name on this filing Supernet Technologies is the one that will appear on everything the company issues going forward.

What happens next rests with the board. The PSX and SECP will be watching how directors allocate the unsubscribed shares, and whether that decision comes before or after the underwriter's fallback obligation is triggered. Given the size of the shortfall, most observers would expect the board to settle it internally rather than lean on the underwriter at all, though nothing in the filing confirms that outcome either way.
