YouTube channels from Pakistan are becoming more and more popular across the globe, as stated in a recently published report from YouTube itself regarding the increasing global presence of Pakistani users on the website. Being the most used video sharing platform, it is clear that the newest discoveries from YouTube show us how fast Pakistani content creators have grown internationally.

Pakistan was identified by the report as one of the most energetic YouTube creative communities in the world, stating that the artists and creators of Pakistan have brought a new dimension of creativity to the platform. It puts the YouTube channels of Pakistan in the category of the most energetic content ecosystems in the world after years of consistent growth.

Pakistani YouTube channels: Record Viewership Both at Home and Abroad

As per the report, Pakistani YouTube videos are being watched by people in Pakistan and even outside it in huge numbers, enabling it to carve a special place in the hearts and minds of the viewers around the world. This double success in the form of high level of engagement domestically as well as increased viewership internationally indicates that its content is cross cultural and geographic.

The magnitude of this growth is evident from the number of subscribers. As many as 140,000 YouTube channels from Pakistan have managed to achieve more than 10,000 subscribers, whereas 19,000 YouTube channels have already reached the mark of 100,000 subscribers. The most remarkable figure here is that more than 1,200 Pakistani YouTube channels have achieved more than 1 million subscribers.

Apart from the number of subscribers, the findings of the report suggested that Pakistani creators have been uploading more than 20 million hours of content on YouTube in the last one year itself. This shows that there are many creators who are highly productive and have started sharing different kinds of content.

The rise in subscriber base and volume of content may be important; however, the global appeal of Pakistani creators was considered to be the highlight of this success story as a surprising 60 percent of total views of Pakistani YouTube channels now come from the viewership which lies outside the borders of Pakistan.

The study highlighted that Pakistani content producers were successfully engaging viewers over an extensive geographical range, ranging from South Asia to the Middle East and Europe to North America. The high-quality and authentic content produced by Pakistani YouTube channels is being acknowledged by the worldwide viewers, which seems to be making Pakistan's digital creator economy quite well poised for further growth in the future.
