BankIslami Rs4.31bn PBT: Strong Deposit and Financing Growth
During the first half of 2026, Bank Islami witnessed improvements in its CASA ratio, which improved above 77 percent amid gross financing standing at PKR 338.6 billion. The results suggest an enlarged base of low-cost deposit mobilization along with increased financing activity contributing to the bottom line profit after BankIslami Rs4.31bn PBT.
For the reporting period, the bank generated an income of PKR 20.5 billion from a diverse range of financing and investment activities. The bank’s diversified financing and investment portfolio seems to be a significant factor behind its profitability performance since it allows income generation through different streams rather than relying on any particular source.
In March, BankIslami was declared Pakistan's Best Islamic Digital Bank at the Euromoney Islamic Finance Awards ceremony, acknowledging its efforts towards enhancing its digital prowess and offering an exceptional customer experience through online banking services. The bank had also received a similar honor last year, when it was named Best Islamic Bank at the Euromoney Islamic Finance Awards ceremony held in February 2025.
