The administration of the police force of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took an immediate administrative intervention in the area of Bara in the district of Khyber and ensured that the movement of a 54 year old citizen of France, along with her offspring, did not suffer any delay. Upon receiving an immediate call for assistance from concerned authorities, the local police department took action.
As stated by Khyber DPO Waqar Ahmed, the concerned authorities initiated steps following the complaint by one of the sons of the lady. The concerned authorities quickly responded and deployed field units to ensure safety for the family, after which FIR was registered against the legal complaints of the individual.
Judicial Process and Protective Custody Arrangements
After leaving the premises, the family was transferred by the local transit team to Darul Aman in Peshawar which is a special provincial shelter for those who find themselves embroiled in some kind of domestic or administrative dispute.
It was made clear by the DPO that the entire family is receiving proper diplomatic and civic courtesy:
- Status Confirmation: It was clarified that the woman and her children have full liberty of movement as full citizens.
- Verification of Travel Documentation: The family has valid passports of France, which enable them to undertake international travel legally.
- Legal Compliances: The police escort brought the family before a magistrate for necessary legal statements.

Cooperation Among Diplomacy and Repatriation Plan
In order to French woman rescued, the police department handed over all the relevant files concerning the case to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs based in Islamabad. The federal ministry then informed the French Embassy about their whereabouts and welfare situation.
Institutional statement: “The French woman rescued and brought to court to satisfy all legal formalities, and the French Embassy has been notified of this through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” said DPO Waqar Ahmed. It was mentioned by him that the family had an intention to return to France, and administrative assistance would be provided to them till they leave officially.
The husband was finally caught by the police after the submission of a complaint against him legally by his wife. The local authorities are investigating the case as per the Pakistan Penal Code, but the social welfare officers of the province are working with the French consul to arrange the transportation back to Europe.
