S.G. Power Limited, which is an IPP from Pakistan, has formally ventured into the medical device industry of Pakistan. In this regard, S.G. Power Limited has made a distribution deal with Nipro Corporation, a healthcare firm from Japan, for distribution of its hospital products in Pakistan.
The news was announced by S.G. Power through a notification issued to Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday, thus marking the entry of the firm into the growing healthcare market of the country.
Understanding Nipro Collaboration
Headquartered in Osaka, Japan, Nipro Corporation has been in existence for more than seventy years and is therefore experienced in this new venture of S.G. Power Medical Devices. This Japanese corporation is mainly involved in the development, manufacture, and distribution of medical devices and pharmaceutical products worldwide.
From the notice in PSX, it is clear that Nipro has a wide international reach with a presence in more than 150 countries as a supplier to the healthcare industry via their manufacturing, research, and distribution channels. They have gained a lot of acclaim in the field of hospital products infusion therapy and vascular products.
Local Distribution via an Existing Platform
In this regard SG Power medical devices will be conducted via Lablink Enterprises, which acts as the only distributor of Nipro hospital products in Pakistan. This is because Lablink has been marketing Nipro products in Pakistan for more than fifteen years, and thus S.G. Power can benefit from this ready-made channel without having to create its own.
