Abhi Microfinance Bank Eyes July IPO to Raise Rs2-3 Billion — From $5 Million Losses to $10 Million Profit

Abhi Microfinance Bank, which is the digital banking platform acquired from FINCA Microfinance Bank by Abhi Pvt. and TPL Corp about 18 months back, is set to list this month and will be listing up to 14% of its new shares for raising funds ranging between Rs2 to Rs3 billion. The listing of Abhi Microfinance Bank IPO Pakistan 2026 is coming at a time when the bank is enjoying tremendous financial performance following a turnaround that has changed a trend of five successive annual losses to the bank’s first profit of over $3.5 million and on the way to making around $10 million profit this year.
The confirmation on the financial change was provided by the CEO Omair Ansari, citing the change in strategy towards digitization as well as the shutdown of the loss-making branches which were a drag on the institution under the previous FINCA model of operation.
There are also positive signs regarding capital, where the capital buffer, above the minimum, is expected to exceed the regulatory requirement in the next year, which would be an important compliance achievement eliminating a limitation on growing the loan portfolio and offering additional products.
Final approval was given by the State Bank of Pakistan for the acquisition in November 2024, and the acquisition concluded in January 2025. The TPL Corp, which is a corporate group dealing in both finance and real estate, comes along with its institutional support system as well as balance sheet strength to complement Abhi's fintech technology and distribution system.

The Abhi Microfinance Bank IPO Pakistan 2026 transaction generates growth capital through the issuance of around 14 percent in new shares.
In addition to the IPO itself, CEO Ansari elaborated on a forward-looking plan of new products, which frames the Abhi Microfinance Bank IPO Pakistan 2026 as the financing base for a much more extensive financial services portfolio:
Lending against gold
The bank is looking to move into gold-backed lending, an area that the bank believes still largely untapped in Pakistan. As per CEO Ansari, India’s Muthoot Finance serves as an example for their approach here since this firm has established one of the biggest lending businesses in India based on gold as collateral. Pakistan’s high level of household gold ownership along with the cultural importance of gold as an asset creates similar conditions for the demand of this kind of gold-backed lending business.
Gold tokenization
Abhi Microfinance Bank is trying to get a license to start gold tokenization services, allowing digital representation of gold assets which would act as collateral or investments within the digital banking system.
Cryptocurrency payments corridor
The bank is developing the cryptocurrency payments corridor linking all customers across Pakistan and Middle East countries, which meets the needs of the Pakistani diaspora in Gulf countries after the introduction of Pakistan’s Virtual Assets Act 2026 and regulations for cryptocurrencies at the SBP.
Where the Abhi Microfinance Bank IPO Belongs in the Context of Pakistan's Record-Breaking Year
The Abhi Microfinance Bank IPO Pakistan 2026 brings yet another listing to the already record-breaking year of Pakistan's IPO scene. With SECP approving 10 IPOs in just H1 2026, with successful public offerings made by firms operating in various fields including tyres, dairy, and Takaful, the appetite in the market for quality listings seems to be intact.
A digital microfinance bank with proven profitability, reliable technology stack, and a range of products, such as gold loans and crypto corridors, provides investors with access to the Pakistan financial inclusion and fintech success story, which has gathered significant attention among institutions amid the PSX rally of FY26.
