Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar informed the Provincial Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah about Operation Nijat-e-Mehran – the campaign that aims at eliminating the criminal gangs that have been operating in the Katcha regions of Sindh:

Encounters carried out - 141 from January 2026 to date

• Dacoits and criminals killed - 275

• Abductees rescued - several
  

• Illegal firearms seized - large numbers

Narcotics – 7,027 Raids, 9,096 Arrests

Sindh Crime Reduction Report 2026 was also applied to narcotics control measures with equally impressive figures. The number of narcotics dealers raided by police in H1 2026 stood at 7,027, with 7,468 cases registered and the number of accused being 9,096. Heroin, charas, ice, and liquor were some of the drugs seized.
