RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has introduced a Package Visa concept wherein a combination of tourist visa, return air ticket, and licensed hotel accommodation forms a complete package, which eliminates all previous steps that were needed to make international travel arrangements. The Package Visa tourism concept in Saudi Arabia, according to Saudi Press Agency, is being rolled out by approved travel and tourism companies under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plan to expand the tourism industry in the country.
The pilot program is essentially a simplification of the visitor journey process rather than just another marketing campaign. It takes care of the coordination problem involved in applying for a visa, booking flights, and booking hotels that prevents a number of potential visitors from visiting Saudi Arabia.
