All doctors and dentists who wish to practice in Pakistan can now see their important dates. Here is your complete list of MDCAT 2026 dates, fees, and test centers. This is indeed a huge relief for several thousand hopefuls who have been waiting for the announcement for weeks.
As stated by the PMDC, the date of MDCAT 2026 exam will be on Sunday, 16th August 2026, at 10am. Now, it’s just this one day that will make or break all hopes of the candidates willing to pursue their careers in medicine.
Window for Registration Note these Important Dates
The registration window for MDCAT 2026 provides a systematic structure to be adhered to by the candidates in order to avoid any future problems. The online registration process will begin from June 22 and will run till July 8 for candidates paying regular fees.
However, even for those students who have failed to catch this window, there is always another way out. The process of registering through a late fee will continue up to July 13, which gives candidates a further span of five days, albeit at a greater cost, as explained below.
The deadline of July 8 must be considered the actual deadline. Depending upon the process of late registration entails financial risks and stress that can actually be avoided by proper planning according to the MDCAT 2026 schedule.
Costs Associated With MDCAT Registration
The PMDC has established a clearly defined fee structure in line with the MDCAT 2026 schedule. The regular fee is Rs9,000, which students have to pay when registering in the first window from June 22 until July 8.
Those who register in the grace period from July 9 to 13 must pay Rs13,000.
This means that an extra Rs4,000 has to be paid simply for registering in the grace period instead of paying at the right time. For international students taking the exam in countries other than Pakistan, the cost is much higher at Rs45,000.
One important thing PMDC has made clear is that all the money collected by means of the schedule of MDCAT 2026 is non-refundable and non-transferable. Therefore, candidates should make sure that they fulfill all the requirements prior to making any payments because in no case will there be any refund or transfer of payment after that.
Provincial Management Management of the Exam in Which Province
The 2026 MDCAT schedule works on the basis of a decentralized system of management where each university manages the test in the respective province of Pakistan. The management of the MDCAT in Sindh is done by IBA University Sukkur.

Exam Centers Locate Your City
The schedule of MDCAT 2026 has ensured that exam centers have been set up across various cities in the country so that travel becomes less of an issue for candidates taking the test. Students belonging to the province of Sindh may take their test in any one of the following six cities, namely, Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, and Larkana.
The most diversified province is Punjab because it allows candidates to sit for the test in any one of the following fourteen cities.
One Decision That Is Irreversible
The candidates are required to focus on one such particular regulation in the MDCAT 2026 timetable which is not flexible at all. The moment a candidate opts for his/her examination center in the registration process, the decision is irreversible and cannot be undone by any means.
This implies that the center choice is more crucial than it seems to be. The students must ensure that they choose the city they want wisely, keeping in view factors such as transport arrangements, help from the family members on the examination day, etc.
The PMDC has made it clear that the council retains its discretion to alter the date of the test in case of necessity. Even though the 16th of August and the registration period mentioned above constitute the schedule as of today, the students need to keep an eye on any official PMDC announcements before the test in order not to miss anything.
Today, the timeline is fixed, the fees have been determined, and the test centers have been identified across Pakistan. Now it is the turn of hundreds of thousands of Pakistani students preparing for the most important test of their life.
