Forget about lengthy paperwork and collateral worries; all that you need is your smart phone and an Islamic loan product designed exclusively for women entrepreneurs
Women entrepreneurs in Pakistan have finally received a financing route tailored to their requirements. The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan has launched Khudmukhtar Khatoon, a digital finance mechanism that caters only to female entrepreneurs who own or plan on establishing companies.
Khudmukhtar Khatoon offers a totally online and Shariah compliant finance facility designed to help improve the access of women to finances for their businesses; an area which has traditionally been a challenge in helping talented women become successful entrepreneurs in Pakistan.
What Khudmukhtar Khatoon Scheme Offers
Through the Khudmukhtar Khatoon scheme, female entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to avail of financing for assets within the range of Rs100,000-Rs1.5 million. It is not a general financing scheme where money is lent out for any purpose, but the money is used only for business asset acquisition.
Through the linkage between financing and productive investments rather than free flow of money, Khudmukhtar Khatoon is able to encourage real growth in businesses, hence enabling female entrepreneurs to invest in equipment that would enable them to expand their business.
From Application to Approval All Digitally Done
Willi Financial Services will introduce its Khudmukhtar Khatoon solution, where the whole application process will take place via the Hakim mobile app. Such a digital model allows Willi Financial Services to deliver a fully paperless onboarding and funding process – a major deviation from the paperwork-laden and visit-required lending procedures in place u
However, for many women entrepreneurs in Pakistan who face the challenge of running businesses while managing their domestic affairs or are from small towns, such an initiative has taken away one big hurdle.

Simplified Repayment Process, Broader Framework
Khudmukhtar Khatoon keeps the process of repayment very simple. This is achieved through monthly installments of an equivalent amount during a period of one year.
This plan also comes at a time when the NBFCs are experiencing growth in their own right. As per the figures provided by SECP, the lending NBFCs have disbursed Rs 111 billion in loans during the period of July to December 2025, benefiting almost 7.5 million micro and small enterprises. Khudmukhtar Khatoon is right on track with this growing environment, providing a gender-specific product line to the already existing financial environment.
Relevance of Topic
It is clear from SECP that ensuring the financial inclusion and empowerment of women entrepreneurs continues to be one of its most important priorities. Khudmukhtar Khatoon is an example of policy implementation on this important issue.
Pakistani women who want to engage in entrepreneurship have encountered structural challenges in accessing financial services due to such factors as the collateral requirement, which discriminates against women. A Shariah-compliant digital service, which is based on the needs of women in business, will help overcome many such challenges.
If Khudmukhtar Khatoon manages to navigate her way up the ladder using the Hakim application, she could very well contribute towards increasing the number of women who can formally establish themselves as entrepreneurs in the country of Pakistan.
