Samsung is gradually but steadily incthing closer to the unveiling of its upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 series, and more specifically the Plus variant. Galaxy Tab S12+ now undergoing firmware testing. Sammy Guru discovered a firmware image file carrying the SM-X846B model number on Samsung’s servers. Earlier leak revealed this phone to be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+. The firmware build number, X846BXXU0AZE5, proves that Samsung Electronics has commenced the internal validation process. Internal validations of firmware usually begin several months prior to the official unveiling of a product; however, it seems that Samsung is speeding up this process.
What We Know So Far About Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ has surfaced in headlines only weeks after Samsung introduced another closely related premium device. This time, it is the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra that made headlines in April with the firmware testing for it. And now, we have the same information regarding the Galaxy Tab S12+. This indicates that Samsung develops its line of products simultaneously.
However, reports first linked the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 series to development work back in February 2025, when news emerged that Samsung Electronics. The news appeared in September 2025 as the next version of an annual upgrade cycle by Samsung.
As far as the hardware specifics are concerned, there’s not much to go by either. Currently, leakages have exposed very little concerning the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+, despite suggestions that this tablet might come with a huge 10,392mAh battery. That definitely sounds like good news for tablet users working hard.
At this stage, there is nothing much known about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+’s chipset, screen, memory, and cameras, which have been upgraded. Samsung normally keeps everything related to their products secret until they hit the market through various leakages.

When Can You Expect It?
Samsung follows a strict launch pattern. In the past Galaxy Tab S10 launched in Sep 2024 and S11 in September 2025. If continues that pattern, Galaxy tab 12 should debut September 2026.
It must be said that the premium Android tablet market has become highly competitive with all the attention garnered by the iPad Pro of Apple. However, the Galaxy Tab S series from Samsung has kept itself competitive against its competitor through its spec, flexibility, and affordability. An excellent Galaxy Tab S12+ would definitely rattle everything.
