ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has revealed that Hajj 2027 registration will start from June 22 and directed the interested applicants to register themselves for Hajj through either government or private Hajj plans.
Under a registration system unveiled by the ministry on Saturday, there will be no application fee that applicants have to pay. The officials will adopt a first come, first served registration system.
According to the ministry, it is mandatory for each person applying to complete the process of registration prior to applying through either government or private Hajj schemes. Application forms for Hajj will not be accepted by the authorities from people failing to register themselves during the registration process.
This is the first official move on the part of Pakistan towards planning for Hajj 2027.
Registration for Hajj 2027 Is Obligatory for All Applicants
The Ministry clarified that the registration is obligatory for all the applicants irrespective of whether they want to avail themselves of the government or any private Hajj service.

The officials further added that the registration will help to make a validated list of the applicants and facilitate the management of distribution of the Hajj quota more effectively. After registration, the applicants have the option of choosing between the government and the private Hajj schemes once the Hajj policy and packages are finalized.
The ministry requested all citizens to register themselves as soon as possible.
Passport Validity Condition for Hajj 2027
The ministry further informed about the essential condition for traveling for pilgrims. The applicants need to have a passport that will remain valid up to November 26, 2027.
The ministry advised citizens to renew their passports before applying for Hajj 2027 and ensure their passports remain valid until November 26, 2027.
Online and Bank Registration Facilities Available
To make the process more accessible, the government will offer both online and in-person registration options.
Applicants can complete registration through designated banks across Pakistan or use the online registration system from home. The ministry expects the dual-channel approach to reduce congestion at bank branches and provide greater convenience for applicants living in remote areas.
The ministry further stated that people from the same family could apply together through the joint application facility. Furthermore, overseas Pakistanis would also be provided facilities for the registration process of Hajj 2027, which would enable them to join the procedure without coming back to Pakistan.

Early Registration Encouraged
The officials advised intending pilgrims to register as soon as possible owing to the first-come-first-served principle. The officials reminded them that there is no charge whatsoever for the registration and that the same forms the base for being part of the Hajj package.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs promised to make further announcements about the Hajj packages, their costs, and how to apply for them after the registration process.
